Founder of the Centre for Corporate Affairs Leadership
Alex is the Founder of the Centre for Corporate Affairs Leadership at Ithaca Partners which works to develop corporate affairs professionals and their teams. She is also an Advisor to the NoTurningBack2020 initiative to promote the retention and progression of Black, Asian and minority ethnic talent in the marketing and communications profession. Alex also chairs the Bupa Foundation which runs programmes to improve resilience among teachers and vulnerable groups.
Alex was on the Executive Committee at Bupa for seven years where as well as leading the Corporate Affairs and Sustainability function, she was responsible for Customer Experience and Brand. Alex was a senior executive at Cadbury Schweppes and Sainsbury’s and served on the management teams of two agencies advising public and private organisations across all sectors. Her background is in public affairs - she worked for Jack Straw and Tony Blair's New Labour party on the 1997 General Election campaign before setting up a public affairs agency.
